The best body hair trimmer for men that gives a close shave can make you feel smooth, sexy, and confident in your body. Body hair is a problem nearly every guy has. In fact, one study suggests that nearly 80% of all males have chest hair. So when you’re at the beach and you see a lot of hairless chest men. Here is a little secret, they are likely shaving their chest hair. There’s no reason to feel uncomfortable since there are a lot of young men that remove not only their chest hair, but other parts of the body too.
If you’re going to choose a body hair trimmer you want one that will give the closest shave possible. There are a lot of great body groomers on the market, but the old fashion razor blades still work best in getting the closest shave possible.
How to Prevent Ingrown Hairs When Shaving
Shaving is probably the easiest way to get ingrown hairs. This problem is likely to happen even more so when using a razor blade to get a very close shave. The closer the shave the more likely you’re going to develop ingrown hairs, which in result leads to those little red bumps and irritation.
First buy a good exfoliating brush, and then switch to a good exfoliating body wash. I believe Olay makes a popular one. Exfoliating the skin removes dead skin cells, toxins, and helps to revive the skin. This can make a difference in preventing ingrown hairs.
Next step is you’ll need a good post shave lotion that helps to treat, or prevent ingrown hairs. You can go to amazon and find some really good ones. Or just click here and see a few of the best ones I have listed.
The Best Body Hair Trimmer for Men For a Close Shave
There are a lot of really good electric hair trimmers on the market, but the best way to get the closest shave is with an old-fashion razor blade. A razor blade can penetrate the closest to the skin. The Gillette Fushion Proglide Styler 3-in-1 Men’s Body Groomer with Beard Trimmer is the highest rated facial and body hair trimmer to use.
It’s not the highest selling product, but it’s rated higher than even the most popular electric men’s body shaver in the Philips Norelco BG7030.
It’s hard to say whether it’s better, just that it’s different. The Norelco gives a more comfortable shave arguably, and it’s probably the best electric trimmer on the market when it comes to getting a close shave without any irritation. However, it’s nearly impossible to beat what a razor blade can do when it comes to a close shave with very little to no stubble at all.
Gillette uses four of their most advanced razor blades yet. The precision edging blade gives incredible closeness.
The Gillette Fushion comes battery operated that runs on AA batteries. You never have to connect this to an outlet to charge.
It comes with three different comb settings for a different type of trim. You can groom facial hair with the battery operated power device. You can also use the power to cut through thick beards/body hairs, and then use the razor blade to get the closest shave possible.
This is one of the more unique shaving devices out on the market. The razor blades are disposable. For under $20 dollars you can’t beat this. Most quality body hair trimmers cost at least $50 dollars or more.

Where to Shave Body Hair With a Razor Blades
I’ve often wrote on this website saying don’t use razor blades to remove body hair. For the most part, I would not use razor blades to remove body hair, especially if you have sensitive skin. I’ve usually suggest to not use razor blades, because most of them aren’t design to remove body hair. With razor blades it’s always easier to cut yourself.
When shaving with razor blades you must be careful, and not go too fast. Always use hot water. I think shaving the stomach, back, arms, and legs are fine. The chest can be very tricky. But you should not use a razor blade on any part of the body thinking its safe to use.
I would not use a razor blade to remove body hair on the genitals. Some men do shave their genitals with a razor blade, but it’s very hard, and very sensitive. The skin is very soft and not firm like on other places. It’s very easy to nick yourself, and I’m sure I don’t have to get too creative to point out how much that hurts.
Obviously the back is hard to remove body hair with just a razor blade. There are a lot of good extension electric trimmers that solve this problem.
However, there is something you can use to still remove back hair with a razor blade. The Razorba Back Hair Shaver gives you the extension needed to reach the back. Any Gillette and disposable razors should work. They even list a chart of which razors will work and they have Gillette Fusion listed. If you buy the Gillette razor blade but need to remove back hair then don’t waste extra money spending more money on the Mangroomer. Just buy the Razorba and you’ll be able to take on your hairy back.
